Webfargo Becomes Authorized Check Point Partner

Raleigh, N.C. - July 1, 2003 - Webfargo Data Security, a premier provider of managed security services and information protection solutions, announced today that it has been elevated to Authorized partner status by Check Point Software Technologies, the worldwide leader in securing the Internet. With this new designation, Webfargo becomes one of only four North Carolina-based companies who have reached this status.

In order to make the transition from a Licensed partner to an Authorized partner, Webfargo was required to show advanced expertise in Check Point's product line and commit to higher revenue goals. With this new standing, Webfargo will have access to joint marketing funds from Check Point as well as lead generation activities.

"We are very pleased to have reached this milestone with Check Point," said Tyler Salisbury, President & Managing Partner of Webfargo, "We have long been committed to providing excellent service in installing and supporting Check Point products. This will only add to our abilities to do so, and will help Webfargo and Check Point gain market share in North Carolina."

Check Point's new FireWall-1 NG with Application Intelligence (AI) constitutes an entirely new and innovative way to secure corporate networks. Webfargo will help Check Point demonstrate the benefits of this product to area companies, and help current customers upgrade. "AI is a fantastic product," stated Salisbury, "by securing both the network and critical applications in an integrated manner, it represents the future of firewall technology."

Webfargo plans to take advantage of the newly available resources offered by the Authorized partnership by launching several Check Point-oriented marketing campaigns in the second half of 2003. "We have worked closely with Check Point since our inception, and we look forward to providing North Carolina customers with an expert local resource for implementation and ongoing support" said Salisbury.
