Overview
When IP communication is critical to business, whether for Internet traffic or a WAN, managing the performance of the router is critical. Unfortunately, while routers are often the most important pieces in the network infrastructure, they are in many cases overlooked. Since routers tend to stay up for months, and even years, at a time they often do not get the attention and maintenance they require to stay secure and current. Maintaining the integrity of the router and monitoring its performance is the key to successful IP communication and sustaining a secure perimeter.
